Click on the "Join Us" tab in the top menu and you will be taken to our Membership Application and Dues payment forms.  Dues are $15 per year, which provides membership for all members of the family/household, with one family/household member being designated as the primary member.  For the first year, there is an additional $10 charge for an ID-Badge for the primary member making the first year dues $25 for a family/household with one badge.  An additional one or two badges for other family/household members may be purchased for $10 per badge, but only when you first join.  Any additional badges beyond that, or at a later date will be $15 per badge.

Email is our primary method of communication.  Only the primary member's email address will be used when sending communications.  If additional family/household members wish to receive email notifications directly they may request their own account with it's unique email address.  Since the same $15 fee applies, this would be an overlapping family/household membership.

 2019 National Garden Railway Convention

Be sure to put this on your calendar! The RCGRS is hosting the 2019 National Garden Railway Convention from 27 August through 31 August, 2019. The convention will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Portland, near the Lloyd's Center. There will be more than 30 garden railway layout tours, an ice cream social, a BBQ at Oaks Park that includes a ride on a train pulled by the SP #4449, and a banquet dinner, and operation sessions where you can run the trains yourself. There will be several clinics to tell you about many of the railway hobby related activities and products such as gardening tips, model building methods (one clinic will be to actually build a small item for your railroad layout), how to create lifelike people with modeling clays and other items, converting track power locomotives to battery power, and much much more. There will be vendors from all over the country with fantastic deals on garden railway items and associated hobby items such as locomotives and other rolling stock, remote control items, track power equipment, model buildings, model cars, model people, and a whole lot more. There will be a model building contest where you can enter your own creations. It's going to be a lot of fun. For additional details, please click here to visit the 2019 NGRC web site.
