There will be a buy sell table and raffle.

Each person will receive one free raffle ticket with each meal purchase. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at $1.00 each.

The following is the proposed schedule for this event, but is subject to change.

09:00 Door unlocked for people doing setup

10:00 Doors open for attendees

10:30 Morning clinics start.  The three morning sessions will be

1) Engine Carrying Case - Gary Lee

Design and construction of a locomotive carrier/tote to transport a locomotive easily and safely to events.

2) Pruning Miniature Trees - Nola Olson

This is a learning by doing class so you will need to bring a tree of your choice and pruning tool(s). If you are pruning a dwarf Alberta, suggest you bring gloves as well.

When buying a tree for this- avoid Alberta Spruce that don't have a strong central trunk from the bottom to the top

3) Work Party to build loads for the 2019 Convention Cars

12:00 Morning clinics end

12:15 Lunch served

01:15 Afternoon clinics start.  The three afternoon sessions will be

1) Replacing/Adding LED lights in Locomotives - Mike Fisher

Demonstration on how to change existing lights to long lasting, lower power LEDs.

2) Installing Body Mounted Couplers - Bill Derville

Demonstration on how to mount body mount couplers to replace truck mounted couplers.

3) Hands On! Sculpey Class - Nola Olson

Sculpey is the brand name of a polymer clay. Polymer clay is extremely easy to handle and bakes at a low temperature in your home oven. It takes paint beautifully and can be used to make new figures or repair old. I've also used it to make animals, furniture, tools, clothing, even a log!

Since this is a hands on class, you will need to bring a package of flesh colored (because most people want to make people) Super Sculpey - because it is strong. Also useful is a cuticle stick and a pin with a head half the size of a pencil eraser. (This is used for smoothing.) The flesh colored Super Sculpey can be bought at any Michael's or Craft Warehouse store and costs less than $20.

4) Work Party to build loads for the 2019 Convention Cars

If you are not going to one of the above afternoon clinics, try your hand at building loads for the convention cars
